On 24^th January 2023, a Session of Inspiration will be hosted by Joost van der Made and Erwin Pouw of (corporate sponsor) Expleo. It will be an interactive session in which Joost and Erwin will outline their picture of business analysis, business analytics and innovation and the relationships between these, with the BABoK in the background. That the relationships are there is beyond doubt, both from Joost and Erwin's perspective and reflected in the BABoK.

Besides a bit of theory around these topics, in which the first interaction with the participants will start, the evening will be shaped by working out some real-life cases by looking at the analysis vs analytics-innovation relationship from different angles.
For example, "what comes first": the innovation idea or does innovation follow only after business analysis/analytics activities and is there possibly a difference in starting from business analysis point of view versus business analytics point of view?
The evening will lead to certain confirmations, but certainly to new insights as well. The motto for the evening is: let’s interact, do a lot yourself and have discussions with each other.

About the speakers (Joost and Erwin)
Joost van der Made was trained as an Industrial Designer at TU Delft and has had the opportunity to bring innovative products, applications and services to a global market for companies such as Philips, (Sony) Ericsson, TomTom, Nokia, Ziggo and NS. As Head of Innovation at NS, for example, Joost was responsible for, among other things, the train interior of the Future and gave direction to the Station as Mobility Hub. In addition, Joost has been a valued speaker at conferences and events for many years, where he provides innovation workshops and creativity sessions in the field of Innovation, Product & Portfolio Management.

Erwin Pouw graduated in Electrical Engineering and during this study he discovered his passion for quality management (analyzing where things could be even better/smarter). Starting with tinkering with PCs and servers (with analysis of why/where) it doesn't work and how to solve it) he now has 24 years of experience in the areas of process, business and data analysis, gained at organizations such as ABN AMRO, ING, Rabobank, Leaseplan, MSAmlin, Delta Lloyd and DAF Trucks.
